Henri Badoux Reserved and delicate on the nose, but nicely structured and minerally on the palate, a nice wine to drink now. We only wish for a bit more fruit complexity. Drink now. 18,000 cases made. (PM) Henri Badoux Unusually round and soft for Chasselas. Has broad apple and butter flavors with spicy, herbal accents. Appealing on its own, but with enough structure for food. Drink now. 3,330 cases made. Henri Badoux Pungent Chasselas, light-bodied, with almond, wet earth, wet hay, grapefruit and pineapple notes; just lacks a bit of structure to score higher. Drink now. 30,000 cases made. (PM) Henri Badoux The primary white grape of the Swiss wine community is Chasselas. We enjoyed a Henri Badoux 2000 Aigle le Murailles. That little Komodo dragon looking thing is a lizard that scampers through the terraced, broken-slate terrain where these grapes are cultivated. This was a pleasant wine reflecting the mineral and chalkiness of the region while balancing its fruit and acidic components well. WinoBob www.winostuff.com
