Dézaley is the most famous and the most spectacular wine district in our country. 95% of its production is white wine coming from the Chasselas grapes and the remainder from Pinot Noir and Gamay. The vineyard is situated between Lausanne and Montreux on the shore of Lake Geneva, overlooking acres of open fields. For that reason, it is one of the most typical wine-growing districts in Europe. Our family enterprise, JEAN & PIERRE TESTUZ, located in the heart of the winegrowing district of the Dézaley, is today one of the most prestigious Swiss wine companies. It has been established for more than 450 years, and has passed through 13 generations. The oldest documents describing the history of the TESTUZ family and their first vineyards (in the heart of the Dézaley) date back to 1538. Three centuries later, Louis TESTUZ established the wine trading business with his nephew Charles. In 1888, Paul and Jules,' his two sons, joined him in the business. In 1910, Jules TESTUZ known as the «Le Colonel», became solely responsible for the family enterprise. He consecrated all his life to improve the quality of Swiss wines, especially those of the Dézaley. In 1925, his son Jean started working with him and his other son Pierre joined them in 1930. In 1963, Jean-Philippe, Jean's son, entered in the family enterprise. Today, TESTUZ is a very well known trade name, famous for its high quality wines naturally, being surrounded by prestigious vineyards in the heart of Dézaley, we can only deal with the best quality. With a wealth of experience and tradition, the name Testuz is one of the biggest winegrowers in Vaud. The head office of the family enterprise is situated in Treytorrens in the commune of Puidoux, east of Lausanne. The landscape of the vineyards, the lake and the mountains entrails the most blasé walker. We are in the heart of the appellation Dézaley, that produce the greatest white wine with its husk and its delicate flavour. But beyond this appellation, our estate is represented with his 60 hectares all over the wine-growing district of Vaud : La Côte, Lavaux, Chablais and Nord Vaudois. Our crossbow with his stars is synonym of quality in all the markets. The enterprise Testuz respect rigorously the oldest traditions in making wine, taking care to the regularity of the quality. Without forgetting that this is intimately tied with the good health of the vineyard. We invite you to share our device "from the vineyard to the glass, a share pleasure!". J. & P. Lake Geneva lies like a huge croissant between Savoy and the Canton of Vaud. The slopes on the Swiss side are breathtakingly beautiful and sun-drenched. It should come as no surprise that they are also ideal for winegrowing. This wine country is divided into four regions: La Côte along the western shores of Lake Geneva, centring on Féchy and Mont-sur-Rolle, with appellations like Vinzel, Perroy and Aubonne to either side. The Lavaux area, stretching from Lausanne to Vevey and Montreux, has the most famous vineyards in the canton: Dézaley. Impressively situated on steep, terraced hillsides, it rises up from the lake between Epesses and St. Saphorin. The vineyards of Villeneuve at the eastern end of the lake mark the beginning of the Chablais area, which extends to Yvorne and Aigle and to the hillside vineyards around Bex. Northern Vaud boasts names like Bonvillars, Côtes de l'Orbe and Vully around Lake Neuchâtel. The Vaud is Switzerland’s second largest winegrowing region. It is best known for the fresh, fruity white wines produced here from the Chasselas grape. Their delicate and varied aromas reflect the different soils in this region. Red wines pressed from Gamay and Pinot noir grapes account for about one fourth of the total output. Vaud wines have a compelling tradition and a winningly unique character. Local winemakers here are ambitious and have shown themselves to be amongst the best in Switzerland in achieving varietal diversity and top quality.
